Rapper 50 Cent got in a fight with his former protege Trav. No longer signed to G-Unit, the Queens rapper tried to hop on stage when “Fif” called for Meek Mill to join him. Trailing in the Philadelphia rapper’s shadow was Trav and for unclear reasons, Fifty told him to get off.
What sparked this beef?
It’s definitely not clear at this point. Speculation on-line points toward all the artists/people Trav tried to associate with during his tenure with G-Unit and the way he left the label. 50 Cent is not cut from a weak cloth and expects the upmost loyalty from those under his wing. If the former protege left the label disrespectfully or associated with anyone that had something to do with the Jamaica-Queens street gangs that killed Fif’s mother, he probably wants nothing to do with him nor to offer any sort of support.
Trav approached and seemed to taunt 50 Cent when he came up on stage and the G-Unit boss’ street instincts are still completely in tact. He had no problem pushing his ex-protege away when he got too close. However, this fight at Mix Show Live may not be anything more than ‘brotherly love’ versus real rap beef.
Meek Mill was obviously not happy about the beef either since it came during his introduction at the Mix Show Live 2013 stage in Atlanta (Georgia). With all the industry professionals, DJs, and brand ambassadors there he immediately wanted no parts of the situation. The admirable decision was followed by his attempt to calm down 50 Cent who seemed like he wanted to put hands on Trav.

Been around G-Unit since he was in his teens used to be always around Yayo and Banks.
