A gunman clad in a ski mask unloaded on an SUV full of people in southeastern Queens on Friday afternoon, hitting four people, and killing one of them, official sources and witnesses said.
A 42-year-old man, identified by cops as Jamal Green – aka Mazaradi Fox, formerly of 50 Cent’s G-Unit – died in the gunfire near the intersection of Farmers Blvd. and 133rd Ave. in St. Albans about 4:10 p.m., police said. One of the other three victims, a 22-year-old man, was hit in the neck and shoulder and was in critical condition, police said.
A second 22-year-old man was wounded in the arm, and the fourth victim, a woman in her 20s, suffered a graze wound to the neck, police said.
The victims who could flee scattered in different directions following the shooting and placed calls to 911 from two locations, law enforcement sources said.
Paramedics rushed the three survivors to Jamaica Hospital. Cops were also scouring area hospitals for a possible fifth victim, sources said.
It was unclear how many shots were fired before the gunman, described only as a black man dressed all in black, fled in a dark-colored Hyundai sedan, according to sources. A fuller description of the suspect was not available.
Cops were searching for the sedan on Friday evening.
The fatal shooting marked the city’s fourth homicide of 2014, and the second to take place in St. Albans, officials said.
